WildeLifePhotography > 2011610 133/365 Jan 16/10 Side lighting Once again inspired by Sam(tylwyydd) I chose this Scotch bottle and glass for side lighting. As the bottle has never been opened I didn't want an empty glass sitting beside it, so I tipped the glass. I was pleasantly surprised by the color of the Scotch reflecting in the bottom of the glass.

The flower was lit from the left with natural sunlight and a flash was bounced off a reflector from the top right to eliminate the deep shadows in the center.

WildeLifePhotography > 2021210 160/365 Feb 12/10 Not my usual or in the candy theme but this Ruffed Grouse has been eluding me for the past year. He usually comes out early in the morning or late in the evening when there is not enough light. But yesterday when I came home from work, there were two of them in the trees. It's amazing that a bird with this weight can sit on the small branches at the top of a tree.
